Begin your letter: "Dear Sir; I was recently a passanger on one of your tours..."

Dear Sir:
         I was recently a passanger on one of your tours and I'm writing this letter in order to make a complaint on the service I received.
    To begin with, the route taken was awful. It was not dynamic at all. Nothing to see, just an empty landscape. Secondly, the journey started after it was programmed because the tour-guide arrived late. Then about the tour bus, it was small in size and there wasn't much space to place the luggage. Moreover, there weren't seat-belts in it. And then, I might complain on the heavy, loud music that was played that prevented me from relaxing, but that's the driver's fault, and I'm going to express my discomfort against him.

    I had a bad impression on Starsky (that's the name he gave me). First of all, he was driving in flip-flops, and this is very dangerous for us, the passengers. Then, he said it wasn't necessary to have seat-belts if the vehicle was not under ten years old, and he perfectly knew this wasn't correct, as he studied law.
    And the last thing I'm complaining about is the office staff. They weren't able to explain to us on time that we had to move from one bus to another and I didn't have a good assistance when I reclaimed that there weren't seat-belts available.
    As a conclusion, I think that this company should improve its experience. My recommendations are simple. Hire better and more responsible drivers, improve the buses' size and add seat-belts and choose a better road to destination.

Martín Fierro

Para la clase de Literatura se nos pidió que leamos el "Martín Fierro" y que lo comparemos con la película basada en el mismo, una animada de Fontanarrosa. Para comenzar, se puede decir que Martín Fierro es un gaucho que es reclutado a la frontera para defenderla contra los indios. Para esto, Martín Fierro es alejado de su familia y queda solitario y pobre por años hasta que se convierte en un "gaucho matrero", en contra de la autoridad y hambriento de justicia y libertad.
El libro de José Hernández se publicó en 1872, mientras que la adaptación se estrenó en 2007. No hay cambios muy notorios entre ambos, es más, la película da una mejor comprensión del texto una vez leído.

Cantar del Mio Cid

El Cantar del Mio Cid es un poema épico que trata sobre como la lucha de un hombre por conseguir la aprobación de su rey. A través de la historia, aparecen distintas ocasiones en las que se van añadiendo nuevos personajes en el texto sobre la historia medieval.



Para empezar podemos mencionar las espadas del Mio Cid, las cuales obsequia a los esposos de sus hijas, los infantes. Luego, las recupera una vez que dicho matrimonio queda en el olvido debido a la vergüenza que estos le provocaban al Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar (nombre del Mio Cid). Los infantes se caracterizaban por no tener coraje y valentía, o no la suficiente como para luchar contra un león. Además, estos hombres maltrataban a las hijas de dicho hombre. Todo esto conlleva a la ira de Cid, con lo que rompe el matrimonio. En el día de hoy, la espada llamada Tizona es hayada en la Catedral de Burgo, en España.
